Captain looking for open spaces for a real cricket ground near Salzburg. Autumn 2014. The desire for a cricket ground in Salzburg has existed for years. The green area of the Itzlinger Au or the Glanspitz is only suitable for training with a tennis ball. A real cricket ball is too hard and too fast and could hit passers-by.
On Friday and Saturday afternoon there will be training. Guests and interested people are always welcome. Before 2012 the area was relatively uneven. Therefore, the pitch area was covered with an old carpet so that the ball is not distracted too much.
